Acting Camp - "Stagestruck"
Session A: June 7-11, 2010
Session B: July 12-16, 2010
Ages: 7-13 yrs
Day/Time: 9:00am-3:00pm (Early drop-off /Late pick-up available at an extra fee.)
Fees: $200.00, discounted to $175.00 if also enrolled in Summer production
Whether you are interested in pursuing an acting career or just looking to gain some confidence and self-awareness, our summer acting camp, "Stagestruck" is the perfect choice. Students work during the week on acting technique and skills, putting together a scene, sample commercial, and short musical number for a showcase on Friday afternoon at 2:30pm. Campers will be provided with a mid-morning snack and a Friday pizza party, but should provide their own lunch Monday-Thursday. All campers will receive a S.O.Y.T. t-shirt.
Musical Theatre Camp - "Broadway Bound"

Session B: July 19-23, 2010

Sing and dance your summer away with our Musical Theater Camp, "Broadway Bound". In this camp, we'll be learning song and dance routines from some of Broadway's biggest hits as well as some silver screen blockbusters! You'll learn dancing and vocal technique, play some fantastic theater games, and make some wonderful friends in the process! Invite your family and friends back to the theater on Friday afternoon at 2:30pm for a fun showcase of all the things you've learned. Campers will be provided with a mid-morning snack and a Friday pizza party, but should provide their own lunch Monday-Thursday. All campers will receive a S.O.Y.T. t-shirt.
Teen Camp - "Improv Skills and Scripted Scenes"

Teens will love exploring two very different sides of theater: the chaotic and hilarious world of improvisation and the more disciplined world of scene study. We'll team up in small groups to work on scenes from great stage dramas and comedies and work on characterization and technique. Then we'll come back together to learn the secrets of a successful improvised scene. Campers will be provided with a mid-morning snack and a Friday pizza party, but should provide their own lunch Monday-Thursday. All campers will receive a S.O.Y.T. t-shirt.
Pop Star Boot Camp

If you love music and singing along to the radio, this could be the camp for you! You'll get all the tips and tools you need to become a confident performer. We'll work on singing technique, hip-hop dance moves, and of course, a superstar wardrobe for your final showcase performance. Invite your friends and family to watch you perform on Friday at 2:30pm. Basic Dance Sampler Camp

Are you interested in dancing but not sure where to start? Come and check out the Dance Sampler Camp. Whether you are just learning to dance or if you have a year or two of experience under your belt, you'll benefit from these classes. Discover new abilities and fall in love with a new style of dance as we work on tap, ballet, jazz, hip hop, and lyrical/modern dance. On Friday at 2:30pm, we'll put on a performance that showcases all of these styles. Dress comfortably and bring your dancing shoes! Campers will be provided with a mid-morning snack and a Friday pizza party, but should provide their own lunch Monday-Thursday. All campers will receive a S.O.Y.T. t-shirt.
Production Camp - "Director's Chair"

Check out this unique, behind-the-scenes camp. Teens will love this chance to direct each other in stage scenes from powerful dramas and hilarious comedies. They'll learn what makes a scene move and flow, as well as learning set and lighting design as well as other backstage tools. Campers will be provided with a mid-morning snack and a Friday pizza party, but should provide their own lunch Monday-Thursday. All campers will receive a S.O.Y.T. t-shirt.
